Jazz...Al Fresco

Sitting on a sunny Sunday afternoon in the leafy Sussex Hotel beer garden at a table under an umbrella, sipping on a crisp Ballast Stone Reisling or Houghton’s White Burgundy and listening to the likes of Take 5, E-Type Jazz, Marlene Richards, or the Danny Hodgson Quartet, is probably about as good as it gets, period! No wonder the Sussex is so popular.

Only a short drive from the central business district and the busy North Adelaide professional precinct, the Sussex is a popular place for a quiet lunch away from the office.

Chef Lance presides over the kitchen. Lance has worked with Zack in his last three pubs. The Sussex Steak, a grain fed 300 gram eye fillet topped with garlic prawns (shrimps) is the house speciality. The á la carte menu is impressive, as is the wine list. In the Sports Bar, meals start at $6.90 (Australian dollars) with salad and vegetables bar. Senior’s discounts apply.
